The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA), mandate to lead, manage and determine relief and rehabilitation in the conflict-affected areas in Mindanao together with various Bangsamoro civil society organizations (CSO) united to consolidate efforts and draw strategies to deliver effectively humanitarian assistance to individuals and families affected by the current Marawi siege.
On May 30, 2017, BDA spearheaded a round table discussion (RTD) with other participating CSOs such as League of Bangsamoro Organizations (LBO), Maguindanao Network Organization (MAGNETO), Union of Muslim Youth Organization (UMYO), United Youth of the Philippines-Women, Inc.(UNYPHIL-WOMEN), Mindanao Alliance for Peace (MAP), Federation of Bangsamoro Civil Society Organization (FBCSO), and Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society Organization (CBCS).
Dr. Danda Juanday, city administrator of Cotabato and the Office of Social Welfare and Development in the city also joined in the said activity.
Result of the RTD was the establishment of the United Bangsamoro Humanitarian Assistance (UBHA) with BDA as lead agency.
At present, the UBHA is calling for donations from any individual, group or organization. Donations may be in any form: cash or in kind.
