BDA-IHH calls for orphans’ sponsorship

The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) through its Orphan Care Program calls for sponsorship of Bangsamoro orphans aged between seven (7) and twelve (12).

According to Ustadza Aniza Taha, orphanage director, “we are targeting 100 in-orphans every year. We already have 78, still, we are looking for 22 orphans to complete the target.”

In-house orphan is among the two categories sheltered at Ugur Suleyman Soylemez Orphanage.

They are provided with free accommodation, meals and schooling including supplies and materials for studies.

“We are also eyeing for more than 3,000 distant-orphans”, Ustadza Taha said.

At present, the orphanage has a record of 393 distant orphans who are receiving Php 1,300.00 worth of monthly allowance which is disbursed every six months.

Taha disclosed the requirements for both categories would be required for the applicants such as; birth certificate (NSO), death certificate of both parents of father (NSO), 1 copy 2×2 picture with white background; 1 copy whole body picture (colored), application form from BDA, medical certificate and school records (form 138).

The deadline for application submission will be on the second week of May 2017.

The Ugur Suleyman Soylemez Orphanage is being managed by BDA since 2015 through the support of the Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH), a Turkey-based humanitarian foundation.
