BDA to distribute food packages to poor communities this Ramadhan 2018

The Bangsamoro Development Agency will be distributing 1,587 food packages to the poorest of the poor communities on May 16-17 with the support of the İnsani Yardım Vakfı (IHH), a Turkish humanitarian relief organization. Areas covered are Cotabato City, Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat and Brgy. Kitango, Datu Saudi – both in Maguindanao.

According to Rhadzni Taalim, Project Coordinator of the said activity, it aims to help our Turkish brothers extend their sadaqah to the deserving individuals in the Bangsamoro.

We want also to provide chances to the poorest communities to make them feel the blessings of Allah (s.w.t) and let them know that we don’t forget sharing with them, Taalim said.

In another note, Macmodin Ali, one of the leading teams for the food relief assistance disclosed that they are going to reach out to the pedicab drivers, bangkeros, and evacuees among others.

The food packs contain 10 kilos each of rice with sugar, oil, dried fish and a pack of milk and coffee

This activity coincides with the approaching Ramadhan which probably would start this week – as all Muslims around the globe are happy to give whatever they could as a form of worship during this holy month.
