The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) through its Tahderiyyah Program simultaneously conducted coaching for Tahderiyyah teachers which commenced on March 16, 2017 at selected sites in Sulu province and Zamboanga-Basilan Region.
It concluded on March 27 at Markhadz Tayebah Al-Islamiyah in Brgy. Tumras, Midsayap, North Cotabato and Mahad Pagalungan Al-Arabie Al-Islamie in Poblacion, Pagalungan, Maguindanao on March 27.
According to Mokamad Alon, project operation officer of Early Childhood Education (ECE), the activity aims to equip the Tahderiyyah teachers in teaching early childhood care and development program through the tahderiyyah curriculum.
“We want to improve the performance of the Tahderiyyah teachers through this activity”, Alon stated.
The said coaching was facilitated by the Tahderiyyah program coordinator and supervisor in each region and province, Tahderiyyah trainers, representatives from the Tarbiyyah and Department of Education.
“The coaches observed the whole duration of the session conducted by the teachers using the Skills Training and Coaching Manual (STCM) guide and checklist”, Alon further said.
Out of the 335 Tahderiyyah Centers, forty (43) were selected for this coaching activities.
In CenMin region was ten (10) tahderiyyah centers: four (4) in Southern Mindanao (SouthMin); three (3) in Davao; five (5) in Zamboanga Peninsula (ZamboPen); ten (10) in Ranaw; seven (7) in Zamboanga Basilan (ZamBas); and four (4) in Sulu.
Tahderiyyah Program is implemented by the BDA with support from the Government of Australia and in partnership with the United Nations’ Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
