Free laboratory examination, medical check-up for pregnant women with dignity kit, information access from PhilHealth were among the health services that benefited 450 number of individuals during the Health Fair conducted on September 28, 2017 Barangay Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Said event was a joint effort of the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA), United Nations Fund for Population Agency (UNFPA), local government of Sultan Kudarat, Department of Health (DOH) and Commission on Population (PopCom) of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and the PhilHealth.
Nasser Yusoph, Al-Haj representing the Office of the Chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) welcomed everyone in the event.
BDA Deputy Executive Director Engr. Windel Diangcalan said in his message that “this effort is line with the agency’s goal to bring health services near to the Bangsamoro people through the concerted effort with the government agencies and development partners conducive to the peace process”.
This Health Fair was complemented with the SALAM Program of LGU Sultan Kudarat, one of the flagship programs of said municipality through the leadership of Mayor Datu Shameen BiruarMastura.
The Health Fair activity was in line with the ongoing program of BDA supported by the UNFPA dubbed as “Strengthening Capacities of Reproductive Health Service Delivery and Advocacy in the Bangsamoro”.
