After which, the team proceeded to the identified barangays for community wide-orientation. Numerous participants in the selected barangays of the project were informed of the project principles, objectives, arrangement, stakeholders and among others.

“The team also presented to the communities the sub-projects type that to be put up in their barangays”, Rhadzni Taalim, program operations officer disclosed.

Under the project, there will be socio-economic infrastructure (SEI) projects to be constructed.

Said projects were identified based on series of consultations and meetings conducted by the Camp Joint Task Forces on Camp Transformation (JTFCT) before the inception of the MTFRDP/2.

JTFCT is organized in accordance with the Normalization Aspect of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), which tasked is to help facilitate and undertake activities in relation to the implementation of programs and projects geared towards the development of communities into productive society.

Taalim said that after the said activities, the BDA- CPST will convene for reflection session for review and assessment, share experience and lessons learned to improve strategies and approaches for the next actions.

MTFRDP/2 is a program partnership signed between the BDA and the Community and Family Services International (CFSI) which aim is to improve access of targeted communities in the conflict-affected areas in Mindanao to basic socio-economic infrastructure and alternative learning system.

This intervention is comprised of engaging the communities through a community-driven development and alternative learning system with an end in view of making those productive, participative and peaceful communities. Moreover, this is in line with the Normalization Aspect of the CAB.

MTFRDP/2 is supported by the Mindanao Trust Fund (MTF) with various donors such as the European Union, the government of Sweden, Australia, Canada, United States, New Zealand and the World Bank, which also serves as Trust Fund Administrator and Secretariat.

The Spanish Development Cooperation in the Philippines (AECID) is also a donor-partner of the program.
