Message of thanks flows in camp communities as clean water runs especially for those who received water project recently turned over through the Mindanao Trust Fund- Reconstruction and Development Project Phase II (MTFRDP/2).
The people organization in Brgy. Sadangen, Gen. SKP in Maguindanao formally received the project that was solar-powered water system level II during the turnover ceremony on August 18, 2019.
This turnover ceremony signaled the official acceptance of the community of the project responsibility on operation, maintenance and sustainability.
PO vice-president expressed thanks to project partners for helping them develop their community.
“We now have access to water, which we can sure that it is clean”, he said.
Various stakeholder attended the ceremony such as the community members, people’s organization, barangay local government unit, MILF political committee, contractor, the Task Force on Camp Transformation (TFCT) Camp Rajamuda, Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) and Community and Family Services International (CFSI).
MTFRDP/2 aims to improve access of targeted communities in the conflict-affected areas in Mindanao to basic socio-economic infrastructure and alternative learning system; comprised of engaging the communities through a community-driven development and alternative learning system with an end in view of making those productive, participative and peaceful communities.
Moreover, this is in line with the Normalization Aspect of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB).
MTFRDP/2 is supported by the Mindanao Trust Fund (MTF) with various donors such as the European Union, the government of Sweden, Australia, Canada, United States, New Zealand and the World Bank, which also serves as Trust Fund Administrator and Secretariat.
