MILF, ARMM and Nat’l. gov’t joined hands on proposed BARMM structure

 

Officials and representatives from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and the National Government convened recently for a three-day workshop on Organizational Structure, Intergovernmental Mechanisms, Phasing-out schedules relative to transition from ARMM to BARMM on November 7-9, 2018 at Timberlands Heights in San Mateo Rizal, Philippines.

Said activity was organized through the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) with support from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and facilitated by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

Among the topics and workshops during the event were Provision in the RA 11054 pertaining to principles of transition, comparison of existing structure and BOL Provisions on Organizational Structure, MILF proposed organizational structure of the BARMM, and among others.

This activity along with other similar initiatives are part of the tons of work ahead after the signing of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) in August 2018 that will give way for the Bangsamoro government.
