March 15, 2018 marked another development for Bangsamoro as the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) signed a contract with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) for infrastructure projects in Bangsamoro communities.
In the contract signed between the two offices, there will a construction of five (5) units of school building and three (3) units of birthing clinics in selected areas in the regions of Central Mindanao, Ranaw and Davao.
The event was attended by key officials from BDA and TIKA.
From TIKA was Yesim Baktir, country director and Muhammed Enes.
BDA Executive Director Mohammad S. Yacob welcomed the visitors together with other key officials from the agency: Engr. Windel Diangcalam deputy executive director, Engr. Rahib Labay, head of planning, monitoring and evaluation division, Rhadzni Taalim, head for program and operations, Abdulmaguid Salidatan, head of admin div. and Julhaina Cadon, head of finance division.
Staff and volunteers from both BDA Central Management Office (CMO) and Central Mindanao Region together with intern students at the agency also witnessed the signing ceremony.
It was informed during the event that this project is part of the continuing commitment of Turkey Government to support the Bangsamoro.
Various humanitarian foundations in Turkey have already been extending assistance to Bangsamoro such as the Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH) and Turkiye Dyanet Vakfi (TDV) to name a few.
