The first leg of relief distribution to the affected families of the current Marawi siege was successfully conducted on June 8, 2017 in identified municipalities of Lanao del Sur where there are home-based evacuees.
As reported, there are 500 evacuees in municipality of Ganasi, 300 in Madalum, 200 in Tugaya, 200 in Balindong and 650 in Malabang.
Accordingly, the next delivery of humanitarian assistance will be on June 17, 2017.
Volunteers of the United Bangsamoro Humanitarian Assistance (UBHA) facilitated the distribution activity in coordination with the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) Regional Management Office (RMO) Ranaw.
BDA is leading the UBHA, a network of various Bangsamoro civil society organizations (CSOs) which aim is to consolidate efforts and draw strategies to deliver effectively humanitarian assistance to individuals and families affected by the current Marawi siege.
