4,429 beneficiaries receive food packs from BDA thru IHH support

Four thousand four hundred twenty nine (4, 429) households received food package from the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) through its humanitarian program supported by the Insani Yardim Vakfi, a humanitarian foundation based in Turkey.
There were 1, 299 households in Tawi-Tawi province; 320 beneficiaries in Yakan City, Basilan province on November 18; 400 in Baliwasan, Zamboanga City on Nov. 19; 1, 200 households in Sulu on Nov.21; and 1, 210 target beneficiaries in Zamboanga-Peninsula region on Nov.24.
According to Serhan Badal, program coordinator, BDA regions in the Western Mindanao were selected for this activity as there were less interventions in these areas, especially in Tawi-Tawi and Sulu, two newly installed provincial management offices (PMO) of BDA.
PMO Tawi-Tawi is headed by provincial manager Amilbahar Sangkula while Muldison Taung is the prov’l. mngr. for PMO Sulu.
Each household received a package of food assistance that includes 5 kg-rice, 10 cans sardines, and 10 pack noodles, sachets of coffee, juice, milk, cooking oil, and 2 bars of detergent & bath soap.
