Summer ends but learning does not for six community development interns of Cotabato City State Polytechnic College (CCSPC), who completed their on-the-job training at Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) Central Mindanao Region.

In the exit conference on May 31, 2016 at the agency’s regional office located at # 23 Jasmin Street, Cotabato City, Abdulnasser Akmad, field supervisor of the said interns told them that: “What you have learned from BDA will serve as your weapon in the next journey of your life.”

Engr. Tohamie Ibrahim, project operations officer (POO) reminded them that dealing with the community brings different challenges, thus everyone needs to be flexible.

Thanking the BDA, Norhata S. Aliodin, team leader of the students expressed “Together with BDA, we have learned different techniques in dealing with community.”

It was reported that said interns were exposed to various activities in the communities where BDA implements projects and programs.

BDA accepts students for internship in line with the objectives of capacitating the youth for their development and learning through actual or hands-on experience of work based on their field of studies.

Engr. Abdulwahid Sendad, regional coordinator for the Community Development in Conflict Affected Areas in Mindanao (CD-CAAM) project told that students must have to apply the good things they learned from BDA.

He also stressed that “After this activity, you are still very much welcome here in BDA, anytime you come again.”
