BDA Cenmin conducts staff enhancement program

Along with the objectives to enhance its structure towards the commitment of serving the Bangsamoro, the Bangsamoro Development Agency-Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin) Region recently conducted one-day enhancement activity for its officers, staff and volunteers on June 13, 2015 at Glamour Resto, Cotabato City.
This enhancement activity was conducted with the aim on giving appropriate orientation to officers and staff of the Region while refreshing and strengthening their relationship following their new and enhanced set up in the office.
Dr. Danda Juanday, BDA former executive director presented about the agency, its mandate, vision and mission as development arm of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
He elaborated as form of reminders the need to develop critical mass that will build people to build the nation. Also, he reminded the participants the need to prepare themselves as catalysts of change in whatever responsibility assigned to them.
Dr.Juanday emphasized about the proposed Bangsamoro government particularly on the level of preparation of everybody to run the government.
He then articulated his optimism particularly with the BDA CenMin in this regard.
Also part of the activity is the confidence-building workshop.
The workshop is in line with the BDA’s slogan of “building people who will build the nation”.
In this workshop, staff were asked to identify challenges they faced on program-based and project-based implementation. Program-based implementation means according to eight program thrusts of BDA while project-based means those that are implemented with funding support from donor-partners of BDA.
After which, staff were given opportunity to express their commitment of support based on their current positions and assignments.
Accordingly, the workshop helped assess the level of confidence of participants in their commitment of support.
Among those challenges are the qualities, not quantities of the people to be built up to build the nation as show window of the MILF governance.
Dr. Rizaldy Piang, member of the BDA Board of Directors and formerly regional manager of BDA CenMin facilitated the teambuilding session during the activity.
Dr. Piang elaborated several challenging statements with direct implications to the BDA and its operation in service to the Bangsamoro and its struggle in connection to the agency’s mandate to determine, lead and manage relief, rehabilitation and development in conflict affected areas in Mindanao; and its slogan mentioned above.
His statements encouraged participants to strengthen their interest and commitment for service while treating each other not just companions and officemates but with strong sense of brotherhood in Islam.
Prof. Hashim B. Manticayan, regional manager of BDA CenMin, delivered a message after the teambuilding session.
Manager Manticayan emphasized some basics about team building and among those were to correctly carry out the assigned tasked; and to strongly perform consultation.
He stressed the importance of consultation whenever there is wrong information, before making any decision, as it is in accordance to the teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah.
Ustaz Abdulrashid Ambil, regional institutional development officer of this office, gave the closing remarks by facilitating the congregational reading of Kaffaratul Majlis followed by Bay’ah.
Through this activity, knowledge and appreciation of participants were improved thus strengthened their commitment to service and developed within them that every task is not just a responsibility but an obligation not only to the Bangsamoro but, above all, to Allah Subhanahu wa Taalah (S.W.T.).
