The Bangsamoro Development Agency-Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin) Region conducted 2-day regular quarterly mobile meeting with its provincial development catalysts (PDC) in 11 provinces under the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) controlled areas on June 16-17, 2015 at Malala Elementary School, Barangay Malala, Datu Paglas, Maguindanao.

The meeting has been a regular practice of the region conducted every quarter. It was initiated since the leadership of former regional manager (now member of BDA Board of Directors) Dr. Rizaldy L. Piang.

Participated by both staff and volunteers from BDA-CenMin, development catalysts and volunteers from provincial, municipal and barangay levels ,this meeting aimed to hear reports and consolidate accomplishments from BDA regional and provincial management offices, discuss agenda and tackle other related issues and concern, while it continuously strengthen and sustain teamwork and brotherhood among staff and volunteers.

Based on the accomplishment reports, it showed that the BDA-CenMin through its eight (8) major programs continuously exert its utmost efforts and initiatives to extend services to the Bangsamoro despite its limited resources.

The meeting was also attended by Commander Jack Abbas of Western Mindanao Front of Bangsamoro Islamic Arm Forces, together with his Deputy, Datu Amino Nando; former mayor of Datu Paglas, Datu Ibrahim Paglas; and the incumbent mayor of the municipality, Datu Mohammad Paglas and his company.

Commander Jack Abas said, “the establishment of BDA as fruit of negotiation is a big opportunity for the Bangsamoro as it helps a lot in development intervention along with our struggle for self-determination”.

Datu Ibrahim Paglas warmly welcomed the BDA. He described the agency as the organization that justly implements projects.

Also, he expressed his support to Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), along with his family.

Further, he expressed his support particularly to the youth development program (YDP) of BDA-CenMin when he said, I will give 200 pack of Cavendish banana, right after Alimodin Pinamaloy, coordinator of YDP related to him the upcoming activity of the agency under the said program.

Mayor Datu Mohamad Paglas also expressed his commitment of support by giving a counterpart when necessary in the project of BDA in his municipality.

Income-generating fund of BDA-CenMin Region was also discussed during the meeting and was agreed to start a business through airline ticketing as proposed by BDA- CenMin region Administrative Officer Carolyn B. Biruar-Piang, R.N.

In his final message, Prof. Hashim B. Manticayan, Regional Manager of BDA CenMin expressed his thanks to the commitment of support expressed by the above-mentioned personalities and to the Local Government Unit of Datu Paglas Municipality for the warm welcome to us.
