BDA-CenMin Region sets up new officers

The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) Regional Management Office (RMO) Central Mindanao sets up new officers on June 1, 2015 with the objective to enhance the structure and management of the said office.
According to Hashim Manticayan, regional manager of said RMO, new officers and staff were elected based on the identified roles and positions that complements to the strategic program thrusts of BDA.
“Their designation or appointment in new positions was also based on their performance at the office, their capacities and educational qualifications. Staff elected their colleagues for specific positions through secret voting” Manager Manticayan added.
Accordingly, it is the first time that the region is conducting election of officers and programs staff based on the BDA structure and program thrusts.
The process is in line with BDA core values on transparency and inclusiveness where staff are given the chance to elect their colleagues be voted at the same time.
Among the new positions in the current structure is the information, communication and learning officer (ICLO) which shall be responsible in strengthening the communication strategy of the region that includes news reporting.
New officers expressed strong commitment and thanks for the opportunity while some express worry of the challenges that might be faced.
Regional manager Manticayan further related the process to one of the words in the Holy Qur’an which stated, “And consult them in the affairs” (3:159).
RMO Central Mindanao is among the six regions of BDA such as Davao, Ranaw, Southern Mindanao, Zamboanga-Peninsula and Zamboanga Basilan.
The region covers the provinces of Maguindanao, North Cotabato, some areas in Bukidnon and some areas in Sultan Kudarat province.
It is the proponent of the Muslim Blood Donation (MBD) program and youth development program (YDP) of BDA
MBD have been contributive in addressing the continuing needs of blood in the region while YDP helped in capacitating the younger generation in belief of their future roles as leaders of tomorrow.
