Alhamdulillah, Bangsamoro Government…at last!

The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) Regional Management Office (RMO) Central Mindanao joins the Bangsamoro community in welcoming the Bangsamoro government- the new political entity that had long been aspired by the Bangsamoro. BDA RMO Central Mindanao staff, development catalysts, Youth Development Program (YDP) students and volunteers will be marching from RMO to Cotabato City Plaza where Bangsamoro people will come together to welcome and commemorate this historic event.

The signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on Bangsamoro (CAB) to be held tomorrow, March 27, 2014 at Malacaῆang Palace, Manila marks decade-long thirst of peace in the Bangsamoro homeland. After 17 years of negotiations, the final peace agreement is happening.

BDA created as development arm of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), in accordance with Humanitarian, Rehabilitation and Development aspect of the GRP-MILF Peace Process signed on June 22, 2001 at Tripoli,Libya, gets ready for the advent of the Bangsamoro Government by preparing the Bangsamoro communities through the strengthening of BDA Values Transformation Program. BDA has been implementing the Values Transformation Training (VTT) under its Peace Building Program to advocate for the value-based social transformation in the Bangsamoro communities.

BDA believes that, in order for the Bangsamoro Government to succeed, there must be a value-based social transformation of our communities spearheaded by our LEADERS in the Bangsamoro Government. The change has to emanate from within ourselves founded with our strong IMAN and TAQWA to ALLAH S.W.T. so we can be assured of HIS mercy, blessings and guidance, and most of all to our Bangsamoro Government, inshaa Allah.

BDA Central Mindanao volunteers, led by Regional Manager, Prof. Hashim B. Manticayan, extend their sincerest thanks and gratitude to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) led by its founding member, the late Sheikh Salamat Hashim, Alim Abdul-aziz Mimbantas Allahu Yarhamuhu and the present Chairman of the MILF Central Committee, Al Haj Murad Ibrahim, for bringing the Bangsamoro people to this new stage of struggle, with the help of Allah SWT. And that is evident in our own Bangsamoro Government… ALHAMDULILLAH.

BDA Central Mindanao group would also like to extend their gratitude to the present Government of the Philippines (GPH) Peace Panel for demonstrating their sincerity in the GPH-MILF peace negotiation, to the Malaysian Government for facilitating relentlessly the long overdue GPH-MILF peace negotiation, to those groups and individuals who offered whether major or minor contributions, both directly or indirectly, to this peace effort, to the Bangsamoro people for staying strong with the struggle despite all the difficulties and hardships in life caused by decade of conflict, and to the MARTYRS who have selflessly given their lives for the cause of the struggle.

Manager Manticayan reminded the group, during the volunteers regular meeting (VRM) last March 23, 2014 at BDA RMO CenMin Office at Santos St, Cotabato City in preparation for the March 27, 2014 Signing of the CAB, of the great sacrifices by the MUJAHIDEEN and MUJAHIDAAT for the cause of this struggle and urge all the volunteers to support and work hard in whatever way possible, this time, for the success of the Bangsamoro Government and further reminded the group to start the step with the purity of intention
