BDA-CMO provides training support to financial personnel of agency’s PMOs in the islands

As part of the institutionalization process of Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA), Finance Division, a 3-day internship activity was conducted on October 13-15, 2015 at BDA Central Management Office (CMO), Cotabato City.

One financial personnel from each provincial office of Sulu and Tawi-Tawi participated in the said activity.

Hamodi Tiboron, BDA-Finance Head, said that BDA management as recommended by Finance Division and approved by the Executive Director initiated 3-day internship activity for financial personnel in Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provincial office in which the participants were exposed directly on the actual processes and procedures that the CMO have been doing in terms of financial management.

“This internship activity was intended to enhance the skills of said staffs on financial management so that whatever needs to be done or to apply in their office, they would gained after the activity”, Tiboron said.

Accordingly, the participants were exposed in cashiering functions, financial reporting and other relevant matters as far as financial management is concerned.

“We allot this very tight schedule but since our approach was one-on-one, we made sure that we inculcated to them the knowledge and necessary skills that they must bring when they return to their office”, Tiboron added.

It was reported that the two BDA finance personnel were Jehan Radjaie and Fatima Al-Huda H. Rojas.

To note, the first internship program was conducted on April 16 to May 31, 2014 with thirteen students from Notre Dame University taking accountancy, now followed by internal internship activity for financial personnel from Sulu and Tawi-Tawi, both youngest offices of BDA.
