BDA joins national workshop on youth leadership program

The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) under its youth development program (YDP) joined in the recent national workshop on youth leadership dubbed as Future Bridging Leadership Program (FBLP) on June 3-6, 2015 at Makati City.
The activity was facilitated by the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), an Asian pioneer in international management education, established in 1968.
Engr. Ismail Guiamil, rural infrastructure engineer of CD-CAAM program and member of quick response team (QRT) of BDA, and at the same time a focal person for YDP of the agency joined other twenty five youth who were selected across the country to be part of this FBLP.
Engr. Guiamel said that the purpose of the activity is to enhance the leadership capacity of the youth to address the continuing challenge on in the society complexity of today’s generation.
“It is aimed at helping the youth be prepared for the emerging challenges ahead as they are the future leaders,”he added.
Youth development is among the programs of BDA in belief in the importance of investing on them for the future.
Framework on bridging leadership was discussed with the participants including conflict-sensitive leadership and governance. Participants were also presented of the stories of bridging leaders from people all over the country who were alumni of the program.
“From the presentation, the program indeed is bridging the leaders from all over the country, convening them to learn, and share together experiences and as one, move forward,”Engr. Guiamil said.
Being the focal person of the YDP of BDA, Engr. Guiamil is set to re-echo the training attended in sharing the knowledge gained from the activity.
