BDA-MTFRDP staff convene for process learning workshop

Key staff of Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) under the Mindanao Trust Fund-Reconstruction and Development Program (MTF-RDP) convene today, June 14, 2015 at Waterfront Hotel, Davao City for the process learning workshop as the 4th program partnership agreement implementation is about to end in two weeks now.

The workshop will run until tomorrow, June 15.

Lessons learned, best practices, challenges and recommendations are expected outputs of the two-day workshop.

Mohammad S. Yacob, BDA executive director compared the activity with the day of resurrection where everyone will look back at what have been achieved.

Engr. Windel P. Diangcalan, deputy executive director presented a look back on BDA and MTFRDP where he discussed how the agency was established and how the program came in.

He mentioned of the significant conflict and its humanitarian effects that pushed the birth of the agency and MTF relating to the peace process between the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

The two-day workshop will include series of workshops where all program staff review and share experiences the implementation of the project per region.

MTFRDP PPA4 is implemented in 65 sites across the six regions of BDA such as Central Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Zamboanga Basilan, Davao, Ranaw, and Southern Mindanao.

Since launched in 2006, MTF-RDP had already reached a total of 496, 527 beneficiaries in 214 barangays and 75 municipalities across the six BDA regions.

This two-day workshop will also highlight best stories from the community as result or impact of the program.

MTF is a fund facility administered by the World Bank and is supported by various donors such as the European Union (EU), DFAT Australia (then AusAID), DFATD Canada (then Canadian International Development Agency ), New Zealand Aid for International Development (NZAID), Sweden International Development Agency (SIDA), and the United States Aid for International Development (USAID).
