The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) through its provincial office in North Cotabato in Central Mindanao Region organized a Muslim Blood Donation (MBD) on September 5, 2015 at Mahad Kabacan, Barangay Kayaga, Kabacan of the said province.

Thirty-five (35) units of blood were collected from the said activity.

Fatima Kadil, Provincial Development Catalyst (PDC) of BDA-North Cotabato Province expressed thanks and gratitude to the BDA-CenMin for the supervision during the activity.

She also thanked partners from the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC), Cotabato City for the good partnership and to the blood donors for their unending acts of generosity and heroism to share their life by donating blood.

Kadil also expressed apology to the individuals that committed themselves to share their life by donating blood but were not accommodated due to some delays in the activity.

She reported that donors were already in the venue at 8:00am but due the above reason, majority of them left for work and to attend to their daily activities.

Marissa M. Tunganay, N.Cotabato Provincial Coordinator (PC) of MBD expressed hope that no delay will happen in future MBD schedules to accommodate more donors.

It was reported that same activity are also being conducted across the eleven provinces of BDA Cenmin Region.

Rusdith Buntag, Assistant Regional Coordinator of MBD said that all blood donation activities are closely supervised by the region.

“The region centralizes the schedules according to the MBD Regional Work Plan,” Buntag reported.
