BDA presents Bangsamoro Development Plan in Kuwait

Joining the Bangsamoro delegates, the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) was given an opportunity to present the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) to international audience composed of government official s and non-government organizations in Kuwait from May 28- June 2, 2015.

It coincided with the recently held 42nd meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) with the International Committee of Foreign Ministers.

According to Engr. Windel Diangcalan, BDA deputy executive director and BDP core planning team leader, the presentation was the chance for BDA to showcase the plan that consolidates the collective aspirations of Bangsamoro and also to lobby support for the realization of what is reflected in BDP.

“It yielded positive result, our audience demonstrated high interest and strong commitment to support the Bangsamoro implement the Bangsamoro Development Plan. The agency, as quick next steps, shall come up with specific project packages informed by the BDP,” Engr. Diangcalan said.

BDA was tasked by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) to lead the formulation of the BDP. The BDP integrative report was completed through the support and assistance of various development partners and stakeholders and in consultations with the national government agencies, regional government office in ARMM, local government units and grassroots level.

It was launched and turned over in November 2, 2014 in Camp Darapanan, presented to the Philippine development forum on the Bangsamoro in November 5-6, 2014 and published just this May 4, 2015.
