BDA Ramadhan program 2015 continues, reached 4,922 beneficiaries

As the Ramadhan program 2015 continues, 4, 922 beneficiaries were already reached through free Iftar (breaking of fast) and food pack distribution as reported by humanitarian team of Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) under its social welfare program on June 25, 2015.

The program started on the first day of Ramadhan on June 18, 2015.

A total of 2, 100 individuals have already benefitted from free Iftar provided across the different masjids (place of worship) in Cotabato City and Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

Two thousand eight hundred twenty two individuals received food packs from the conflict affected families in Maguindanao province.

“The experience is very fulfilling”, BDA humanitarian team said.

BDA under its social welfare program is spearheading the facilitation of the activity while staff and volunteers of the agency are encouraged to assist during the activity.

Representatives from Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH) and Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi (TDV) are also joining the actual activity.

Ramadhan program started in 2014 where BDA, IHH and TDV begin its partnership for humanitarian assistance in the Bangsamoro as part of the commitment of the Turkey government to provide assistance in selected Bangsamoro communities.

This humanitarian assistance included the Qurbani program in 2014 and the orphanage care program which started this 2015, providing services to Moro orphans.
