BDA Ramadhan program 2015 takes off with support from Turkey government

Four thousand four hundred twenty families in conflict affected areas in Central Mindanao and 2, 300 poor fasting individuals are targeted for the Ramadhan Program 2015 by the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) with support from Turkey government thru Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH) and Turkey Diyanet Vakfi (TDV), all humanitarian foundations based in the said country.
Ramadhan Program 2015 includes free Iftar (breaking of fast) and food pack distribution.
The program started on the first day of this holy month June 18, 2015 thru a free Iftar in three masjids (place of prayer) in Cotabato City particularly in Don E.Sero St., Barangay RH5 with two masjids and masjid Maulana in Brgy. RH 3 of the same city.
Food packs distribution started on June 20 for five hundred (500) families in Brgy. Pimbalakan, Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
Another food packs were distributed on June 21 for 1,000 households in Brgy. Buliok and Brgy. Baguinged in Pikit, North Cotabato.
Today, June 22 the humanitarian team will be reaching another 500 families in Brgy. Pamalian, Shariff Saydona, Maguindanao.
Food packs includes rice, canned goods, noodles, brown sugar, sachet of coffee and milk.
BDA under its social welfare program is spearheading the facilitation of the activity while staff and volunteers of the agency are encouraged to assist during the activity.
Representatives from IHH and TDV are also joining the actual activity.
Ramadhan program started in 2014 where BDA, IHH and TDV begin its partnership for humanitarian assistance in the Bangsamoro as part of the commitment of the Turkey government to provide assistance in selected Bangsamoro communities.
This humanitarian assistance included the Qurbani program in 2014 and the orphanage care program which started this 2015, providing services to Moro orphans.
