BDA sends participant to national conference on marine eco-tourism

IMG_0034The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) joined the 7th Philippine Boat Show & Premiere Nautical Lifestyle Expo and Conference on February 20-22, 2015 at SMX Convention Center in Manila.

Said event is conducted annually to endorse and discuss related themes on marine industry in the Philippines.

This year’s event is co-organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP).

BDA as a development arm of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) is joining such event primarily for linkages and networking, to share information about BDA and to learn new things that are significant for the development in Bangsamoro.

Engr. Jandatu Salik, rural infrastructure engineer (RIE) under the Mindanao Trust Fund for Reconstruction and Development Program (MTF-RDP), one of the major programs being implemented by BDA, represented the agency.

“Applicable knowledge for BDA from the said event was that of the port development which is among the flagship list of the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP)”, said Engr. Salik.

BDA turned over the BDP to the MILF and launched thereafter in November 2, 2014 at Camp Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat in Maguindanao.

The BDP is the blueprint for the development of the Bangsamoro into a just, peaceful and prosperous society.

It aims to address various forms of injustice, which is at the heart of violent conflict in the Bangsamoro, to ensure stability and build confidence over the course of the transition.
