BDA to revisit administrative manual

As part of its institutionalization objectives, the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) revisits its administrative manual on February 25-26, 2015 at Davao City.

Purpose of the activity is to provide BDA management and staff with an opportunity to review and validate section of the administrative manual, address inconsistencies and gaps, improve content, understand implication of the policies. Further, it also intends to develop an ownership of the manual and that this will be ready for presentation to the BDA board of directors for approval.

Joining the activity are admin and finance officers of both the central management office (CMO) and regional management offices, management support team, program coordinators, and BDA executive director. BDA management consultant Engr. Nasser Sinarimbo is also joining this activity.

Arcille Catherine Ballesteros, PAHRODF consultant is invited to facilitate this manual review.

Ballesteros will provide introduction on general principles and best practices in developing administrative manual and the usual contents of most administrative manuals.

Review and validation of human resource development management (HRDM) policies is also expected in the activity.

This 2-day workshop is just among the initial steps of BDA following the recent conduct of organizational assessment by the Philippines-Australia Human Resource and Organizational Development Facility (PAHRODF) of the DFAT Australia (then AusAid).

BDA is continuously envisioning for institutionalization to better align its operation with the on-going development in the Bangsamoro.
