BDA trains community on needs prioritization for the Cycle 2 Implementation of MTF-RDP at Central Mindanao region sites

For its Cycle 2 Implementation of the Mindanao Trust Fund for Reconstruction and Development Program (MTF-RDP), Bangsamoro Development Agency, Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin) Region revisits community beneficiaries for the needs prioritization and identification of new sub-projects on December 4-7, 2013 in three (3) barangays of Sultan sa Barongis in Maguindanao.

The participants are members of people’s organizations (POs) from barangays of Darampua, Masulot, Kulambog in the said municipality. They underwent series of community-based training-review on Base Mapping (BM), Thematic Mapping (TM), Community Action Plan (CAP), Community Investment Plan (CIP) and Sub-Project Proposal (SPP) preparation.

Through this series of activities, relevant information about the community is reviewed and updated. The community was also able to identify new sub-projects from these activities. In Brgy. Darampua, the identified sub-project is construction of 30 units of latrines and 10 units of hand pumps; in Brgy. Masulot is the construction of 30 units of latrines and 12 units of hand pump, and in Brgy. Kulambog is the construction of 8 units of 15×10-meter solar dryer.

RMO CenMin converged their five Community Organizers assigned in various municipalities of the region namely: Ismael Balayanan (Midsayap, North Cotabato); Badrodin Abdulrasid (GSK Pendatun, Maguindanao); Nasser Masandag (Sultan Sa Barongis, Maguindanao); Rasul Kalim (Kabuntalan, Maguindanao), and Adiamin Abdulhamid (South Upi, Maguindanao), to facilitate the above mentioned community trainings. The same trainings will be replicated to other municipalities thereafter.

Other key RMO CenMin staff present during that activities were: Abdulrasheed Ambil (Institutional Development Officer), Karnain Mamalangkas (CO Supervisor), Engr. Abdulbasir Kindatu (Rural Infrastructure Engineer), and Anwar Pangal (Monitoring & Evaluation Officer). Ms. Carida Akis, Project Technical Team Member, from Community and Family Services International (CFSI), MTF Trust Fund Recipient and Technical Assistance Provider was also present to provide technical support and guidance to BDA staff to carry on the activities.
