From BOD member, to Secretary, to BOD Vice-Chairperson, Dr. Dipatuan holds the chairmanship in the BOD for three (3) consecutive years since his appointment in 2010. He is best described by his colleagues as a “charismatic leader”. A General Physician by profession, he has extended his reach to the conflict affected areas in Mindanao (CAAM) through his active involvement in the relief, rehabilitation, and development efforts of BDA. He was the first manager of the Regional Management Office (RMO) in Ranaw. Most notably, he has been with BDA for over eleven (11) years, starting in 2002, the year when BDA was also formally created.

Dr. Rizaldy L. Piang
Dr. Rizaldy L. Piang
Dr. Piang was the 1st Regional Manager of RMO Central Mindanao. He is an Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) Specialist. Appointed in 2010 as the BOD Vice-Chairman, he is known for his significant contribution to the success of BDA’s health flagship program known as the “Muslim Blood Donation” as well as several Bangsamoro medical and relief operations. Dr. Piang also started with BDA in 2002 and has also been with the organization for more than eleven (11) years.

Hji. Hashim S. Casinto
Hji. Hashim S. Casinto
Hji. Casinto is the BOD Secretary for three (3) consecutive years and counting. He started with BDA as the first Regional Manager of RMO in Davao. From a retired government employee under the Office of Muslim Affairs (OMA), he has contributed much to BDA’s efforts towards the empowerment and development of the most marginalized and indigent communities in CAAM.

Jamel Macaraya
Jamel Macaraya
Mr. Macaraya, fondly called by his colleagues as “James”, became a member of the BOD in 2004. He was an active youth leader in the Ranaw areas and a widely recognized environment advocate. He is also one of the successful young Bangsamoro entrepreneurs. For over eight (8) years, he is very instrumental in the success of several BDA initiatives for reconstruction and development.

Uz. Abdulkadir K. Abdullah
Uz. Abdulkadir K. Abdullah
Ustadz Abdullah is known as the “Board Morshid” or the spiritual adviser of the BOD. He finished his Islamic studies at Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is also a known educator of Islamic and Arabic Studies in Central Mindanao.

Taupiq O. Alagasi
Taupiq O. Alagasi
Mr. Alagasi, usually addressed by his colleagues as “Sir Dan”, is one of the most admired member of the BOD. His enormous commitment to advancing the Bangsamoro struggle is demonstrated in his great deal of voluntary works and initiatives with BDA. He became a BOD member in 2007.

Mohammad B. Salih
Mohammad B. Salih
“Maestro”, as what his colleagues fondly call him, is the most senior and chronologically gifted among the BOD members. Appointed in 2008, Mr. Salih also had a brief stint as Executive Director (OIC) of BDA in 2009. His wisdom highly motivates other BOD members and he has a profound knowledge about the Bangsamoro. He was an educator in his time.

Rhadzni M. Taalim
Rhadzni M. Taalim
Mr. Taalim is the youngest member of the BOD. He was appointed in 2010 representing Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi Region. He is lauded for spearheading the Youth Committee of BDA. He is currently taking up a Master’s Degree in Development Management at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Manila.

Almansor B. Taug
Almansor B. Taug
Mr. Taug is a Sha’riah practitioner and a former clerk of court. He obtained his Bachelor of Law at the Notre Dame University (NDU). He was appointed in 2011 representing Zamboanga Peninsula Region.

Abusaliha M. Macacuna
Abusaliha M. Macacuna
Mr. Macacuna is popularly called by his colleagues as “Ustadz” (Islamic teacher). He finished his degree on Business Management at the University of Mindanao (UM) in Davao City. He was the second (2nd) manager appointed in RMO Ranaw, next to Dr. Dipatuan, and became a member of the BOD in 2011.

Mr. Abdulgapor earned his masters degree in Islamic studies at the International Islamic university in Malaysia. He was an active youth leader in Southern Mindanao. He currently serves as an instructor of Islamic studies at the Mindanao State U niversity in General Santos City.
