The First round of Information and education campaign on Child Protection was simultaneously organized and conducted to Five (5) MILF Core Command Areas in 6 Regional Management Offices of Bangsamoro Development Agency in January 29 to 31, 2013. The activity aimed at increasing the awareness of MILF Commanders on Child’s Rights, Child Protection and the Grave Child Rights Violation.

52 MILF Key Commanders at the Provincial level and other 198 MILF leaders, members and community residents attended the information campaign across Zamboanga-Basilan, Ranaw, Davao, Central Mindanao, and Southern Mindanao Region.

This activity is one of the component activities of the Project Child Protection System for Children Affected by Armed Conflict in Mindanao in Partnership with United Nation Children Fund (UNICEF). It was conducted with co-facilitation of Training Specialists from partner agency Community and Family Services International (CFSI).

This information campaign targets the participation of at least 180 MILF Key Commanders from each MILF Core Command Area in the entire duration of the program implementation.
