DA Mag. invites BDA for agri micro finance of the BDP’s economy and livelihood

The Department of Agriculture- Maguindanao invited the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) for a presentation on leadership skills and of the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) on economy and livelihood with highlight on micro financing for farmers during the Training on Rice Production Technologies cum Effective Financial Management for Farm Service Providers (FSPs) on October 18-22, 2015 at Sun City, General Santos City.

Hamodi Tiboron, BDA-Finance Head served as resource person for the said topic.

Tiboron took part in promotion of leadership skills among the participants and gave updates on the current progress of the peace process particularly on the BDP.

He also shared the demand for Islamic banking and finance in Bangsamoro.

“It is important to us (Bangsamoro) to inculcate the concept of leadership so that we can apply it in our everyday life especially to us as Muslims”, Tiboron emphasized.

“The invitation was quite indication that our efforts in BDA are being recognized by different stakeholders including government agencies, cooperatives and other organizations exist in our society”, he further stated.

Tiboron also said that the activity also served as opportunity for BDA to let the participants hear if where the BDA will lead specially towards the stake of BDP that will serve as roadmap of envisioned Bangsamoro government.

It was reported that during the 5-day training, DA-Maguindanao identified the processes and challenges when it comes to farming then if how the office strategized to address those challenges.

Meanwhile, Engr. Windel Diangcalan stated that such invitation indicates the continuing engagement of the BDA with the other national line agencies particular the DA.

“This is a welcome development that we (BDA) was invited by the DA-Maguindanao to join and share knowledge particularly on micro finance under economy thematic area of BDP. The Department of Agriculture has been one of our partners in formulating the BDP, and other government agencies from national line agencies particular the DA,” Diangcalan stated.

Tiboron thanked the DA-Maguindanao management for inviting the BDA to share its experiences when it comes to leadership and at the same time, informed them as far as BDP is concerned.

“This initiative is an evidence that Bangsamoro, whether in government or in BDA, or whatever organizations, are being united as long as development and peace are concerned,” Tiboron ended.
