Darul Ifta of the Philippines Grand Mufti lectures BDA staff on Ramadhan

For the last round of symposium this holy month Ramadhan, the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) invited Sheik Abdulrahman Udasan, Grand Mufti of the Darul Ifta of the Philippines on July 12, 2015 at masjid beside BDA Central Management Office (CMO) in Cotabato City.

Sheikh Udasan discussed about significance and message of Ramadhan and the authenticity of the Qurán, the Holy Book in Islam.

He emphasized to make use of this holy month for good things because this is the time when the Qur’an was bestowed as our guidance.

“It is best to conduct usual activity like this so that many people will be guided specially the BDA staff. This is a fortune time for us to base our guidance on the Qur’an because it is our only absolute guidance for Islam”, Udasan said.

Furthermore, he reminded BDA family to continue religious activities in order to please Allah not only during the month of Ramadhan but even after this month, in everyone’s daily lives.

To note, BDA has organized series of symposium during Ramadhan this year as part of the special activities set in observance of this holy month.

BDA have also invited Ustadz Saguir Salendab, Ustadz Marhan Farhan and Ustadz Abdulwahab Payrat during the first three Sundays of Ramadhan for this series of symposium.

BDA executive director Mohammad Yacob told that this Ramadhan symposium is just one of the activities of BDA that will guide its staff of every activity especially in terms of spiritual aspects.

Yacob also prayed that this symposium will bring good cause for all.

“All things we have learned, both technical and spiritual, we must improve all of these to sustain so that in the long run, we will become competent in everything we do”, Yacob added.

BDA-CMO staff were the participants of the said symposium joined by Moro orphans catered under the orphanage care program of BDA supported by Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH).

According to Zaida Dimacisil, orphanage director, this symposium will help the children know what have been done in this activity and get additional knowledge about Islam.

“Actually, this is the time that we are in our socialization activity and we want them to mingle with BDA family. We also want BDA to see these orphans we are taking care of,” Dimacisil said.

Ramadhan 2015 started on June 18 and will end either on July 17 or July 18 depending on the moon sighting.

Ramadhan is the holiest month for Muslims and fasting during this month is among the five pillars of Islam.
