JICA commits continuous support to Bangsamoro

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) expressed commitment and continuing support to Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) in helping Bangsamoro people particularly in conflict-affected areas of Mindanao.
In a visit on March 08, 2015 at BDA Central Management Office at Brgy. Datu Balabaran (MB Tamontaka), Cotabato City, the delegates met with the BDA Executive Director Mohammad S. Yacob and BDA key staff.
Mr. Toshiyuki Kuroyanagi, Vice President of JICA and head of the delegates initially expressed his appreciation for the success of the Community Development- in Conflict Affected Areas in Mindanao (CD-CAAM) program which is implemented by BDA in partnership with JICA and which aimed at providing capacity building for communities torn by conflict.
According to Kuroyanagi, they would like to extend their cooperation and commitment in continuing delivery of assistance in community conflict-affected areas in Mindanao particularly the construction of farm-to-market roads, for the farmers to easily transport their products to the market.
Executive Director Yacob was overwhelmed for the genuine effort and commitment offered by the visitors and express gratitude to the Japan government for their continuing support to Bangsamoro.
