Categories: MTF, Program Highlights
Four components under the Mindanao Trust Fund Reconstruction and Development Program, implemented by the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) recently met with a common goal of identifying areas of collaboration for better program approach.
MTFRDP started with the community driven-development (CDD) component piloted in 2006 and currently in its fourth program partnership agreement with the two trust fund recipients such as Community and Family Services, Inc (CFSI) and Mindanao Land Foundation, Inc (Minland). In 2013 up to the present, other components came in that include: Program for Local Economic Development through Enlightened Governance and Grassroots Empowerment (PLEDGE), Operation Support to the Sajahatra Bangsamoro (SB) and the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) Formulation Project.
In a meeting on December 14, 2014 at Cotabato City, all components representatives reported project status that includes progress of implementation, planned vs actual activities and challenges and issues.
Through the updating and discussion sessions, the programs were able to draw recommendations and action plan out of the challenges presented.
The group likewise discussed current and future initiatives in response to the key agreed actions of the 10th Implementation Support Mission (ISM).
Sharing of experiences and best practices were also significant part of the meeting.
For BDA as the implementing agency of the said programs, the body also discussed about strategic approaches that helps towards the institutionalization objective of the agency.
MTF is supported by various donors such as the European Union (EU), DFAT Australia (then AusAID), Canadian International Development Agency, New Zealand Aid for International Development, Sweden International Development Agency, United States Aid for International Development and the World Bank.
