Project development and management training-workshop happening now for BDA

Top management officials and key staff of Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) are attending a 6-day training workshop on project development and management that kicked off yesterday June 22, 2015 at Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City.

The workshop is funded Australian government through the Philippine - Australia Human Resource Organisation and Development Facility (PAHRODF).

It is aimed at strengthening institutions that advocate peace and development in Mindanao.

Accordingly, the program will facilitate the participatory development of project development and management guidebook for the Bangsamoro Development Agency.

To note, BDA underwent organization assessment by the PAHRODF in December 2014 which objective is towards the institutionalization of the agency.

This 6-day workshop is related with the results of said assessment.

According to Engr. Windel Diangcalan, deputy executive director of BDA, this project development was established in partnership of Bangsamoro Development Agency and the Philippine-Australia Human Resource Organization and Development Facility (PAHRODF).

“One of the identified areas that need for improvement in BDA is the agency’s project development management that is why this capacity building has been brought out”, Engr. Diangcalan said.

“We are also expecting that participants from BDA, both from Central and regional management office will gain enough skills and knowledge from this said activity”, he added.

BDA is currently moving towards institutionalization and on the process of determining its role and beyond the transition for Bangsamoro.

Among the participants of this workshop are members of the BDA board of directors Jamel Macaraya and Abdulgapor Taha, BDA executive director Mohammad S. Yacob, deputy exec. dir. Engr. Windel Diangcalan, management support team, program coordinators, and key staff from BDA regional management offices (RMOs).
