Two foundations from Turkey, the Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi (TDV) and Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH) are once again supporting a Qurban Program this year to be implemented by the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA).

There will be 130 cows to be sacrificed and distributed in BDA Central Mindanao Region thru the support of IHH.

While 350 cows will be sacrificed and distributed across the regions of BDA.

Implementation of Qurban program started on September 24 and will be until September 26, 2015.

On Sept.23, BDA hosted a welcome meeting with partners from Turkey to discuss preparations for the program implementation. Visitors were presented of the itinerary of travel during the operation, the number of cows per site and among others.

Visitors from TDV came at lunch time of the said date while visitors from IHH were welcomed at BDA on that evening.

Qurban program is in line with the observance of Eid’l Adha or feast of sacrifice, celebrated annually by the whole Muslim Ummah worldwide.

TDV and IHH started partnership with BDA for this program in 2014.
