Various sectors convene for the 2nd Consultation Workshop on CCDP-BDP

Representatives from local government units of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), the private sectors, academe and international experts/consultants convened on June 24-25, 2015 at Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City for the 2nd consultation workshop on Comprehensive Capability Development Project (CCDP) with Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP).
In the said gathering, the BDP-Medium to Long Term plan commenced through the partnership between Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA), Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Key objectives of the activity were: a.) to present JICA’s output at the current stage; and b.) to give stakeholders’ a chance to have their comments and share their ideas for the refinement of the JICA’s initial output.
To note, the 1st consultation workshop, attended by 50 participants from various sectors, both public and private, was on November 27th, 2014 at Cotabato City.
It was the first workshop conducted for BDP after its turn-over and launching on the same month.
Since the 1st workshop on November 2014, the BDA has been continuously organizing consultation meetings with various stakeholders to come up with common ideology and approach that will support to its vision and development objectives.
The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) has been formulating its medium to long term-development plan for the Bangsamoro since last year to address its development challenges from year 2016 to 2022 and beyond.
Same consultation workshop on CCDP for the national level was further on June 26th, 2015 at Discovery Suites, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Metro Manila.
