BDA CenMin conducts TOT on VTT
The Bangsamoro Development Agency Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin) conducted Training of Trainers (TOT) on Values Transformation Training (VTT) on September 23-25, 2016 at Training Center, Regional Management Office (RMO) CenMin located at # 23 Jasmin St., RH6, Cotabato City.
The training accordingly aimed to increase the number of trainers on VTT within the region of CenMin and to produce human resource focusing on attitudinal change for the Bangsamoro.
There were 24 participants from the two provinces of BDA-CenMin such as Kutawato province and Maguindanao province. This also included students from the Youth Development Program (YDP) of the school year 2016-2017.
The three day TOT was facilitated by Guiamaludin Sampulna Ligawasan provincial development catalyst (PDC); Omar Hamdan, Kutawato PDC, Tohamie Ibrahim, program operation officer (POO) and Emran Mohammad.
During the opening program, Carolyn B. Biruar Piang, administrative officer stressed the importance of learning by doing process in the enhancement of ability of the future trainers.
The facilitators discussed topics such as what is training, facilitating skills, facilitating tips and teaching learning principle.
The activity also involved peer teaching and demonstration of participants of the eight (8) sessions of the VTT modules.
This was facilitated by Radzni Taalim, human resource development division (HRD) head, Suwaib Mohammad, training officer head (TOH) and POO Ibrahim.
During the demonstration, various techniques and strategies for the improvement of trainers’ facilitation were also shared by the facilitators.
Nadheer Esmail, training officer said that “it is essential that the future trainers will be capacitated enough before they will facilitate VTT”.
“After this training, they will observe three (3) trainings first before they will handle training”, Esmail added.
“This training will empower them to become better trainers in the later generation”, he said.
During the closing program, Abdulrasheed Ambil, regional manager finally confirmed the participants as trainers of BDA.
TOT on VTT is one of the activities of BDA CenMin under its capacity building program.
VTT is conducted in line with principle of BDA that change must begin at one’s self. It aims to develop pool of catalyst, staff and volunteers with enhanced knowledge, appreciation and practice of Universal values that will help them in serving the most marginalized and indigent communities.
