BDA-PLEDGE, linking with gov’t. partners for better marketing of local enterprises

Part of the sustainability that the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) wants for its organized local enterprise groups through the Programme for Local Economic Development through Enlightened Governance and Grassroots Empowerement (PLEDGE) is the continued effort to connect with partners from the government towards better marketing strategy of the community products.

In the recent National Science and Technology Week (Science for the People 2017) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) –ARMM, the BDA through the PLEDGE participates to the Scientific Fora on September 19, 2017 at Gymnasium of Sultan Kudarat in Maguindanao. The activity aimed to discuss with local enterprise groups and help them acquire business permit and halal certification.

The BDA-PLEDGE has established two food-based livelihood projects in Brgy. Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat which are banana processing and bread and pastries.

Julhaina Cadon, PLEDGE coordinator led the team of BDA representative to that event.

PLEDGE is an economic program supported by the Mindanao Trust Fund (MTF). It culminated in October 2016 reaching 4, 853 beneficiaries in eleven communities across the six regional clusters of BDA.
