UBHA reaches out to evacuees in Maguindanao
With the continuing aim to reach for families affected by conflict, the United Bangsamoro Humanitarian Assistance (UBHA) led by the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) distributed relief items on September 16, 2017 at Brgy. Nabalawag in Datu Salibo, Maguindanao.
The humanitarian aid were composed of both food (rice, canned goods, noodles, salt, and sugar) and non-food (used clothes) items.
Recipients of this relief operation were affected families of the recent military operation against the “ISIS inspired group” which is reported to be present in the area.
The families who are forced to leave their homes in fear of their lives are coming from the barangays of Nabalawag with 275 beneficiaries, Tee with 380, Nimao with 150 all in same municipality.
UBHA is a network of various Bangsamoro civil society organizations (CSOs) which aim is to consolidate efforts and draw strategies to deliver effectively humanitarian assistance to individuals and families affected by conflict.
