A day out with the Moro Orphans
Yesterday, January 17, 2016 was a fun day for the orphans of Moro Orphanage Complex managed by the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) and supported by the Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH).
It was an outdoor activity by the beach at Brgy. Kusiong, DOS Maguindanao where the orphans enjoy few activities that stimulated their creativity and teamwork.
Accordingly, the event was part of the regular social activity for the orphans being taken cared under the Orphanage Program of BDA.
“It is actually part of the program for the children to provide them such activity aside from the boarding, schooling and monthly allowance for them”, Zaida Dimacisil, orphanage director said.
She added that it helps in the social development of the orphans which is significant in their complete wellness.
“And that is want we wanted in this program, to give these children a total care they deserved as a child, and a normal life despite that they are orphans”, Dimacisil ended.
Facilitating the activity were key staff of the program.
Omer Kesmen, IHH representative to the Bangsamoro was also in the activity.
A special Qurban
On Thursday, January 14, 2015, five cattle were sacrificed for the orphans.
This, according to Serhan Badal, coordinator for the humanitarian program of BDA also being supported by the IHH was part of the package of the program along with the complete care offered by the orphanage for the children.
It was reported that aside from the BDA-managed orphanage, there were other orphanages that received cow meats.
They were Markaz Amir located at Poblacion 8, Cotabato City; orphanages in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao such as Cotabato Orphanage, Ibn Taymiyah and Ibrahim orphanage.
IHH is supporting BDA for the implementation of humanitarian and orphanage projects.
