BDA-Cenmin holds quarterly PDC meeting

The Bangsamoro Development Agency-Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin) conducted its Regional Management Office-Provincial Development Catalyst (RMO-PDC) Quarterly Mobile Meeting on August 16-17, 2016 at the Training Center of BDA Central Management Office (CMO), Cotabato City.

The activity was participated by selected volunteers, staff and development catalysts (DCs) of BDA-CenMin with the total of 51 participants (20 male and 31 female).

Accordingly, the program aims to sustain and strengthen the sound relationship between and among the staff and volunteers of the regional office with the DCs in the eleven provincial offices of the agency.

The activity also serves as updating of the current status and accomplishments of the RMO and its provincial offices.

The said activity was a two-day event hosted by Bandar Kutawato (Cotabato City)

During the first day, Dr. Mohammad S. Yacob, BDA executive director gave his warm welcome address to the participants.

“You are all welcome not only in this venue but also in the BDA family”, Yacob said.

Yacob also mentioned about the important support of the DCs in the continuing operation of BDA.

The DCs play important role in the life of BDA for they are the grass roots of the agency in promoting development.

“Let us capacitate ourselves, let us improve our knowledge and skills”, Yacob added.

RMO-PDC quarterly meeting is one of the regular activities of BDA-CenMin which is conducted quarterly in a mobile manner from one province to another province of the region.

Meanwhile, every coordinator of the eight (8) program thrust which are: Peace Building, Social Welfare, Economic Development, Education, Health and Sanitation, Environment, Youth Development Program (YDP), Capacity Building; and Donor-supported Programs such as: Program for Local Economic Development through Enlightened Governance & Grassroots Empowerment (PLEDGE), Bangsamoro Assistance for Development and Community Empowerment (BM-ADVANCE), Community Development in Conflict Affected Areas in Mindanao (CD-CAAM) and Tahderiyyah presented their accomplishment reports.

PDC Chairpersons of different provinces also presented updates, other accomplishments and current status of their corresponding offices.

On the second day, Abdulrasheed Ambil, BDA-CenMin Regional Manager spearheaded the planning session.

Among the highlights in the session were mobilization local resources in preparation to the upcoming Qurban 2016, continuance of monitoring and evaluation of the sub-projects it implemented and to continue its initiatives in helping the Bangsamoro communities establish sustainable livelihood utilizing local resources particularly on agriculture, fisheries and livestock.

It was agreed that the next meeting will be on November 1-2, 2016 and all PDCs will be notified of the final venue.
