BDA hosts Mindanao-Hiroshima Skill-up Training
The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) hosted Mindanao-Hiroshima skill-up training for six scholars from across Mindanao which started on January 04, 2015 at Bangsamoro Development Center in Cotabato at MB Tamontaka, Cotabato City.
Mohammad Yacob, BDA executive director welcomed the participants and said, “Personally, I’m very happy because I’m standing in the front of prospect leaders of the Bangsamoro in the future.”
He mentioned of the BDA’s slogan of “building people who will build the nation”.
“This afternoon, we will start the very important activities of the BDA with Hiroshima University as a partner. Indeed, BDA sees this partnership or activity as very important because it is really part of the BDA mandate and that the agency was created because of the peace process between the government and the MILF and part of it is ‘building people who will build the nation”, Yacob reiterated.
Julie Maliga, Tahderiyyah Program coordinator presented to the participants about BDA.
Marifah Agar, BDA administrative division head stated in an interview that BDA looked at this training as good initiative because basically the agency is just living out its mantra which is “building people who will build the nation”.
“We (BDA) also feel very privileged because this training are being held at BDA”, she added.
In the second day of the training, Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo presented to the participants about public administration in the Philippines particularly in Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) region.
On the following day, Atty. Raissa Jajurie, BTC Commissioner presented about Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) and BLBAR.
To note, BDA signed MOU with Hiroshima University for human resource development in Bangsamoro on October 8, 2015 at the same venue.
