BDA-MBD cited as “most performing org.” for nat’l voluntary blood service

The award according to Carolyn Biruar-Piang, R.N., coordinator of the Muslim Blood Donation (MBD) shows the continuing contribution of the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) as the best performing organization in Region XII in the field of voluntary blood donation.

This citation was received during the Sandugo Awarding Ceremony by the Department of Science in Technology (DOST) XII on November 12, 2015 at Tacurong City.

Rosdith Buntag, BDA-CenMin Assistant Regional Coordinator said “We should be thankful to Allah for this achievement is a noble blessing from Him.”

Buntag added that with this achievement, the BDA-CenMin has to strengthen its commitment with firm conviction to expand the conduct of MBD in the wider Bangsamoro communities.

“Because, engagement in MBD is a commitment to public service and being a public servant is not measured by the number of top awards achieved but measured by, at least, satisfaction of anybody that needs it,” she explained.

Buntag clarified that let us put in mind that more number of donors and blood units we have in MBD, the greater the responsibility that we have to discharge and the heavier the accountability where we are answerable.

Dr. Rizaldy Piang, BDA Vice-Chairman and the main proponent personality in founding and organizing the MBD shared that making the program as commitment for God’s sake or for the sake of Allah is the best practice that yielded to this achievement.

The BDA-CenMin since 2010 has been among the awardees in Region XII in terms of voluntary blood services.
