BDA-Ranaw conduct financial literacy training in Dapao of Lanao Sur
The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) Ranaw Region conducted Training on Financial Literacy Training (FLT) to the People of Dapao Organization Officers and Community Volunteers of Brgy. Dapao, Pualas Lanao del Sur on September 7, 2016.
The training which is part of the implementation of the program dubbed as Bangsamoro Assistance for development and Community Empowerment (Bangsamoro ADVANCE) aimed to strengthen capacity of People’s Organization specifically on project management, and will provide opportunity towards enhancement of sub-projects implemented in their communities.
The activity was formally started with opening prayer from the participant and followed by overview of the program activity.
BDA-RMO Ranaw Accountant Norinsa T. Angni and Finance officer Jonaimah Dimaporo discussed topics on basic budgeting & costing, procurement process, asset management, bookkeeping & reporting, po forms and financial literacy forms.
Participants were thankful of the learning acquired from the training.
Brgy. Dapao is among the sixteen project sites of the Bangsamoro ADVANCE in Ranaw Region.
Bangsamoro ADVANCE, with 50 sites, is conceptualized in support to confidence building measures of the GPH- MILF as provided in the Comprehensive Agreement on Bangsamoro (CAB). This was also in respond to the clamour from the communities especially on the implementation of basic services including livelihood opportunities.
It is implemented by the BDA in partnership with the Community and Family Services International (CFSI) as trust fund recipient.
The program is supported by the MTF with various donors such as such as the European Union, the Swedish International Development Agency, the Australian Embassy Philippines, Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada, the United States Agency for International Development, the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the World Bank which also serves as trust fund secretariat.
