Beneficiaries of BDA-CDCAAM in Central Mindanao donate blood thru MBD program
Seventy two blood units were collected from the said farmers during the conduct of the Muslim Blood Donation (MBD) by the Bangsamoro Development Agency-Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin).
The donors were beneficiaries of the Community Development in Conflict-Affected Areas in Mindanao (CD-CAAM) Extension Phase Project implemented by the BDA in Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao.
Mohaliden Odin, one of the beneficiaries of the project for livestock sector said: “Joining in the MBD is best opportunity in order to be in the group of generous people that are able to sacrifice their life at the expense of helping others by sharing their blood which is among the most important part of existence as human being.”
Muslimin Abas, also among the donors said: “Though this is my first time, but I feel more comfortable and blessed for I was able to sacrifice my blood to save life.”
Sulba Tula, Regional Health Program Coordinator said, “the MBD was conducted for the beneficiaries of the CD-CAAM Project Extension Phase in Sultan Mastura for them to be given, at least, a better chance to participate in this healthy lifestyle”.
“It is a healthy lifestyle because regular bloodletting is a safe engagement that contributes to make a better if not best health of the donors,” Tula stated.
He added that it is also a very chance for them to render their contribution in order to save the life of anybody that needs blood.
Abdulnasser Akmad, Regional Project Community Organizers Supervisor said that doing this activity for the beneficiaries of the project is part of supporting the agency along with its health program implementation through MBD.
“And the acts of cooperation and participation of the project beneficiaries to join in the MBD show their strong support to the unity and solidarity of the Bangsamoro in doing things of any kind in good way so as to attain lasting peace and holistic development by any mean”, emphasized Akmad.
He ended that the strong support of the project beneficiaries to the MBD also shows their readiness to support the continuing assertion of the Bangsamoro, in a peaceful mean and diplomatic way, for their freedom and self-determination despite the prevailing oppressions and all other injustices perpetrated against them.
Engr. Abdulwahid Sendad, Regional Project Coordinator expressed thanks and gratitude to them and hoped with in-depth prayer that they will also cooperate and recruit more individuals to donate blood in the next MBD.
Sendad also faithfully thanked the RMO and its partners for their maximum support that resulted to the conduct and success of the MBD.
This MBD that was conducted for the project beneficiaries is not part of the project partnership agreement along with its implementation but it was an initiative of the RMO as part of its heath program.
