Hiroshima-Bangsamoro scholars visit BDA project sites in Maguindanao

Six Bangsamoro scholars from Hiroshima University visited project sites of Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) particularly in the barangays of North Binangga in Talayan and Kurintem in Datu Odin Sinsulat both in Maguindanao province on January 7, 2016.

Accordingly, the field visit was conducted to make further studies about the actual situations of said communities.

It is part of the Mindanao-Hiroshima Skill-up Training being hosted by the BDA.

Interviews and personal interaction with the people of the communities were part of the activity.

BDA served as facilitator and tour guide of said event.

Also present in the activity were representative from Integrated Health Provincial Office (IPHO) Maguindanao, staff from BDA Cental Mindanao region, members of Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) and BLGU headed by Brgy. Captain, Samsudin Agkong.

The sholars from Hiroshima University were Yusop Saaban, Alkhaizer Ibrahim, Haseman Julaili, Razul Pandulo, Jobayra Tandalong and Sittie Nawirah Talib.

Brgy. North Binanga is one of the project sites of the Program for Local Economic Development through Enlightened Governance and Grassroots Empowerment (PLEDGE) while Brgy. Kurentem, is also one of the project sites of Mindanao Trust Fund-Reconstruction and Development Program (MTFRDP) during the 3rd Program Partnership Agreement (PPA3) in 2010, both implemented by the BDA.

Hiroshima Youth Training is a project jointly supported by the Hiroshima Prefecture, Hiroshima University and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Accordingly, this Project aims to train Tri-people youth for necessary admin knowledge and professional skills to serve as public servants in the new Bangsamoro Government.
