Locals in Baloi, Lanao Norte undergo financial management training
The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA)- Ranaw Region conducted a Financial Literacy Management Training to the members of the People’s Organization (PO) in Brgy. Mamaanun Municipality of Baloi Lanao del Norte on August 17, 2016.
Accordingly, the activity is part of the on-going implementation of the Bangsamoro Assistance for Development and Community Empowerment (Bangsmoro ADVANCE).
Jonaima Dimaporo, finance officer and Norinsah T. Angni, accountant of BDA Ranaw were the facilitators and resource persons of the activity.
Namraidah Dimaampung, secretary of Brgy. Mamaanun PO who is one of the participants told that this financial literacy training can help them a lot in evaluating, computing income of their business.
“Because of this training it makes us easy in listing and computing the financial matter in our livelihood for instance the revenue and expense of the organization”, Dimaampung stated.
Brgy. Mamaanun is a recipient of tire path project and it is among the sixteen community-beneficiaries of the Bangsamoro ADVANCE in Ranaw region.
Bangsamoro ADVANCE, with 50 sites, is conceptualized in support to confidence building measures of the GPH- MILF as provided in the Comprehensive Agreement on Bangsamoro (CAB). This was also in respond to the clamour from the communities especially on the implementation of basic services including livelihood opportunities.
It is implemented by the BDA in partnership with the Community and Family Services International (CFSI) as trust fund recipient.
The program is supported by the MTF with various donors such as such as the European Union, the Swedish International Development Agency, the Australian Embassy Philippines, Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada, the United States Agency for International Development, the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the World Bank which also serves as trust fund secretariat.
