Reconciliation of BDA financial records conducted
Key personnel of finance division of Bangsamoro Development Agency –Central Management Office (BDA-CMO) and two finance staff from each regional management offices (RMOs) convened for financial reconciliation on January 17-19, 2016 at Bangsamoro Development Center in Cotabato City, Inc. (BDCCCI).
Accordingly, the 3-day activity served as avenue for said staff to discuss the issues and concerns regarding financial records and reporting.
Hamodi Tiboron,CPA, BDA finance division head said in an interview that BDA has different regional management offices that have to maintain records of programs they had in each region.
“And this activity is conducted regularly so that from time to time, the CMO can always reinforce through reconciliation to verify all those report from RMOs.
Tiboron commended the RMOs finance staffs for being interactive and participative.
“Now, Alhamdu lillah (thank Allah) we have proven and also our partners have seen the enhancement of our finance system. Before, our RMOs still need our assistance or guidance in terms or recording and reporting but now, they can manage and they can make their report on financial management system of their regions,” he stated.
This financial reconciliation included the following agenda: i) closing of MTF-RDP Institutional Strengthening Agreement (ISA); ii) final settlement of MTF-RDP PPA4 concerns; iii) settlement of Sajahatra Bangsamoro concerns and; iv) consultations to RMO finance staff the draft of the enhanced financial management manual.
“Being the show window of the governance of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) as our principal, hopefully, our management from Board of Directors (BOD) down to our PMOs (provincial management offices) will still support us with our initiatives for enhancement and we all know that they have been always there to support us”, Tiboron ended.
BDA regions are Central Mindanao, Davao, Ranaw, Southern Mindanao, Zamboanga-Peninsula and Zamboanga Basilan while provincial offices are Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
