Tahderiyyah sch.leaders in ZamPen region told of piety in teaching
This was during the conduct of the activity dubbed as “Tahderiyyah School Management Manual Orientation for Tahderiyyah Teachers” on August 3-7, 2016 held at El Nido of Bay Plaza, Pagadian City.
Maulvi L. Nieto of the Provincial Tarbiyyah in Zamboanga Sibugay told participants to internalize what has been taight and discussed to them.
“As a Modeer (teacher), we are the leader of Tahderiyyah centers so hopefully, let us internalize all these and implement them for the future and balanced education of our children”, Nieto said.
He added that “we are here to support Tahderiyyah Centers without compensation for the sake of Allah (s.w.t)”.
“Manager is a career, Leader is a colleague”, Nieto ended.
The orientation-workshop aims to capacitate the administrators on the use of the school management manual, which is modified through the incorporation of water, sanitation and health (WaSH) guidelines and child protection (CP) policies as part of convergence approach to attain the desired results of the program.
Ustadz Esmael Tingkay of Titay, Zambo. Sibugay stated that “our job is not like in the government where we get salary; instead we are working because we are obliged by Allah (swt) without compensation; this is for all of us, the blessings that are all coming from the Almighty”.
“The more trials that we face, the more Allah love us”, he ended.
This series of orientation on school management manual which kicked off in Central Mindanao is happening across the six regional management offices of BDA including province of Sulu.
The Tahderiyyah program is another product of UNICEF and BDA’s collaborative efforts to reach children in the conflict-affected areas (CAAs) in Mindanao. It generally aims to facilitate easy access to quality Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) services and Basic Education to the CAAs.
It was piloted in 2009 and now being implemented in three 335 schools across six (6) regions (Central Mindanao, Southern Mindanao, Ranaw, Zamboanga Peninsula, Zamboanga and Basilan, and Davao Region.
