Davao oriental locals undergo business mng’t. training
The training dubbed as “Start Your Business”, accordingly, is aimed to enable potential entreprenuers with concrete business idea to develop business plan among seventeen members of different people’s organization in the province.
This was conducted by the International Labour Organization(ILO) in partnership with the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) through the Program on Local Economic Development for Grassroots Empowerment (PLEDGE) on June 12- 16, 2016 at Mati, Davao Oriental.
It was facilitated by Racquel L. Sanlucan, CEDO- Davao Region; Jennelyn Ragas, PBSP Marketing Specialist; Julhaina Cadon, BDA- Pledge Program Coordinator; Moamil Ampuan, CEDO- ZAMBOPEN; Mokhaliden Kido, Project Manager of KADTABANGA Foundation; Imbran Lamla, CEDO- ZAMBAS; Mary Jean Liberato, ILO Project Assisstant; and Sahria Adapun, CEDO- Ranaw
Ms. Julhaina Cadon, BDA- PLEDGE Program Coordinator stressed out the goals of ILO as partner organization in the course of sustanability of the bangsamoro community thus this training was conducted to enhance the people in engaing in business according to availbale resources as well as marketable products of the community.
“This was also aimed at encouraging and engaging the key member of the people’s organization in scrutinizing their market and products, how to market their products, proper record keeping, costing, financial plans among others”, Cadon added.
Cadon also posed a positve and appreciative remarks in the participation of the trainees as they greatly involved themselves in the over-all process which created as a motivational step in pursuing their planned business in the community.
“I learned so much in the training that it made a great realization that indeed, gaining knowledge is the key in every success. I am so happy and ovewhelmed by the gesture shown to us and that this opportunity proved to me that Islam and the Muslims are not really as I have seen and heard. I have not expected that we will be included with the fact that I am a Christian. Therefore, this training has contributed to my eagerness in the course of development of the Bangsamoro community”, Ms. Marilou C. Gulles of Tomoaong United Lumad Association for Development (TULAD) said.
To note, key staff of BDA under the PLEDGE project first underwent this said training by which they are expected to replicate, for sustainabality of the enterprises developed in each community recipient of the program.
ILO is the trust fund recipient for the PLEDGE implemented by the BDA.
