MLGU-Matanog undergo VTT
The Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) Matanog underwent Values Transformation Training (VTT) on July 18-20, 2016 at Municipal Hall, Poblacion Matanog, Maguindanao through the Bangsamoro Development Agency Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin) as facilitators.
There were forty five (45) employees who participated in the said activity.
Shaimah S. Agasar-Macadatu, executive secretary said “This activity is a big help in strengthening our Imaan (faith) and a good ingredient in transforming our values”.
“We learned various Islamic values that we can apply in our daily tasks”, Macadatu added.
“We are the catalyst of change in our society, thus, we should live and lead through what Allah likes and avoid whatever He dislikes”, Macadatu ended.
There were four discussants who facilitated the 3-day VTT training in this municipality namely; Guiamaludin Sampulna, Mohalidin Lumabao, Ustadz Yasser Abdurrahman and Montasir Mamalangkap. They were enthusiastic volunteers of BDA CenMin.
During the closing program, selected participants gave their impression message by expressing deep gratitude to BDA-CenMin through the lecturers for sharing their knowledge, efforts and time.
Iskak Managsa, one of the participants said, “the ‘elm (knowledge) that we have gained from this training cannot be paid by great amount of money or any material thing in this world.”
“Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said that seeking knowledge is an obligatory in every individual Muslim. So we should seek knowledge to free ourselves from ignorance”, he added.
“Knowledge is one of the primary assets of an ideal worker like us”, Managsa added.
Accordingly, the activity was initiated by Hon. Atty. Mohammad-Ali S. Guro, Municipal Mayor of Matanog in coordination with Ustadz Ahmad Hasan, BDA Provincial Development Catalyst (PDC) of Iranun Province.
Facilitating VTT is one of the regular activities of BDA under the Peace Building program which basically aims for better personality, particularly, values transformation of the participants and Bangsamoro constituents as a whole.
